Insulation Specialist
(Riau - Batam) Responsibilities:
- Review all documents but not limited to specifications, drawings, instruction, site queries received from either client/customer representative or inter-alia departments involved in the execution of the Project.
- Ensures construction activities are undertaken in accordance with Project needs in general and compatible with project schedule and cost objectives in particular.
- Supports Construction Superintendent in daily supervision. Reviews construction sequence, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements on hot and cold insulation to ensure comprehensive safety feasibility
- Participates in weekly construction review meetings.
- Monitors and assists the insulation subcontractor(s) during the execution of the project
- Monitors and assists the insulation subcontractor of site-specific EHS program.
- Participates in incident/accident investigation under the EHS Coordinator in the area.
- Monitors site materials handling and warehousing procedures to facilitate construction progress.
- Reviews work and inspection results to ensure compliance with Contract requirements.
- Interface and coordinate with Production Engineering and QA/QC sections.
Requirements:
- Min posses at least a Bachelor Degree
- With at least 8 to 10 years of technical experience in general construction disciplines with minimum five (5) years specific involvement in construction of industrial facilities, including Management of hot and cold insulation (incl. cryogenic insulation) installation, testing and completion of such programmes
- Experience with contractors and worldwide suppliers, in particular those involves in the construction of major onshore facilities.
- Understand international applicable codes and standards for insulation, coating and piping
- Understand the insulation requirement on a typical onshore gas plant project (cryogenic insulation)
- Must have good written and verbal English communication skills and good team and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions on planning, organizing and coordinating solutions to complex problems
- Self driven and able to work as part of a dynamic and high performing team
- Work location: Batam, Riau Island Province, Indonesia
- This is a permanent full time job.
