J. Ray McDermott is a leading worldwide marine solutions company. Our services include design, fabrication, transportation and installation of offshore platforms and offshore pipelines for the oil and natural gas industry. Due to expansion, we are looking for an experienced and qualified individual to join us as :
Draftsman
(Singapore - Toa Payoh) Responsibilities:
- Prepare drawings as instructed by the Operations Engineer, Field Engineer, Marine Estimator or Construction Support Engineering Supervisor.
- Maintain drawing register on a project-by-project basis which catalogues all drawings and sketches issued.
- Ensure unique drawing and sketch numbers are assigned to each drawing issued.
- Ensure references to project documents and drawing scale are correct.
- Issue drawing / sketches only after they have been reviewed and appropriately signed by the authorizing Engineer.
- Basic detailing of designs provided by engineers
- Design of barge anchor patterns in accordance with JRM or client guidelines
- Collection of measurements and other data for as-built drawings of existing equipment.
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Construction Support Engineering Supervisor, Operation Engineers, and/or Field Engineers.
Requirements:
- Posses at least min 1 year of engineering drafting experience
- Posses a Diploma or other Technical Qualification
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- Must have solidworks training
- Offshore job experience preferred
