Diverse marine activities are focused in 4 shipyards, namely: Singapore, Graha, Nanindah and Pertama. The right candidates for our yards must be able to develop and support an excellent safety culture and possess a sound knowledge of shipyard practices. They should also have practical experience in the rig building, shipbuilding or ship repair sectors, having held relevant positions in the marine or offshore industry. We welcome suitably qualified and experienced candidates to join our team as: Purchasing and Boarding Assistant (Singapore) Responsibilities:
- Source, obtain and analyze quotations from suppliers based on user requirements;
- Develop new vendor relations based on user requirements;
- Analyze the purchasing process and recommend improvements;
- Place purchase orders and follow up to ensure timely deliveries;
- Follow up on payment to suppliers and resolve any invoice disputes;
- Carry out proper filing of all documents related to each purchase order;
- Perform stocktaking onboard vessels as and when required.
Requirements: - 2 years relevant experience in buying operations in the Offshore, Marine, Oil and Gas Industry;
- Candidates must be comfortable boarding vessels. Previous experience in boarding vessels will be advantageous;
- Good written & verbal communication skills in English are essential;
- Good negotiation skills will be advantageous;
- Computer literate.
