Workshop Manager (Based in Batam)
Across Singapore - Batam

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and authorize changes that significantly impact the shop fabrication productivity.
Ensure that shop fabrication processes are well planned, documented and executed.
Recommends improvements in shop operating procedures, policies, and processes and recommends the acquisition of additional or new equipment and machinery when costs and production problems dictate to control and / or reduce production costs.
Ensure the maintenance of Fabrication Shop Equipment.
Monitors site schedule to identify trends and takes proactive measures to maintain progress and performance against project plans.
Supports coordination of interfaces between design groups and ensure design supports fabrication.
Interface with the Procurement Group to provide schedule and technical requirements for procurement of materials.
Provide routine reporting on Fabrication contractor activities.
Select and manage ongoing relationships with external contractors to ensure high standard of service.
Manage all capital assets related to shop fabrication, field fabrication and installation for project.

Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.

Minimum 10 years in construction and fabrication work for EPCM/ EPCC industry.

Good working knowledge in all local and international codes and standards on the related field.

Good interpersonal skills, communication and presentation skills.

Ability to lead and instill team spirit in work.

Good knowledge of welding activity of heavy equipments will be well regarded.

Must be willing to station in Batam.
