Quality Technologist
North - Woodlands
Responsibilities:
-
Comply with all Corporate/Plant/Departmental Environmental, Health and Safety rules/ policies/ procedures while performing this job whether or not on 3M property
-
Manage the assigned supplier /product accounts in the areas of IQC, FQA, qualification, cost improvement and day to day quality issues.

Activate Non-Conformity Material Report, arrange for Material Review Board meeting to disposition quarantine material.
-
Perform material / finish product Defect characterization /mapping during problem investigation.

Operate selected analytical /test equipment and plan/ support measurement system analysis (MSA)

Compile and run statistical analysis, support material and new product qualifications/ set-up work in the plant.

Provide /compile data for TQRDC rating for very critical/ critical suppliers.
-
Support weekend /off-day IQC /FQC if needed.

Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) to verify new design , functional requirement of component/material .

Manage assigned supplier accounts and follow-up on open issues , set-up meeting if needed.

Review and update all related raw material and FG specification.

Participate in Internal Quality Audit process as an auditor and support customer audit preparation.
Requirements:

Educational Level: Diploma in Chemical Process Engineering ,Quality Assurance
-
Experience: 3 to 4 years of relevant experience preferred, QC, QC Lab environment.

Preference given to those who are familiar with Minitab software.

Knowledge and experience in the use of Quality Control/SPC /Six-sigma tools.

Experience/participation in ISO9001 projects

Develops strategic working relationship within cross functional departments in achieving business goals

Manages priorities, schedules and timelines to ensure tasks are completed
-
Checks processes and tasks in an accurate and meticulous manner to ensure high quality output.

Ability to support shift work if required
