Workplace Safety & Health Manager (Registered WSHO / Environmental / UP to $7K)

Responsibilities:

• Advising Management on all matters pertaining to occupational safety, fire and health compliance measures
   
• Assist in formulating and reviewing safety guidelines, instructional manuals and fire emergency procedures, promotion of safety awareness activities to inculcate safety awareness among employees
   
• Maintain proper accident records and statistics and to conduct accident investigations
   
• Conduct routine safety inspections and conduct safety audit of work areas and gas free tests and endorsement of PTW for hazardous works
   
• Assist in drawing up testing/inspections schedules for the testing of fixed fire fighting and safety equipment.
   
• Conduct safety orientation and induction briefing to new employees and contractors’ Supervisors & Engineers, fire fighting training for CERT Team, Ops shift staff and contractors to respond to emergencies.
   
• Heat and noise monitoring measurements for the whole station.
   
• To be a Team Leader of the Rescue Team and to effect rescue operation with other team members when needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or Diploma in Environmental / Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent from a recognized Institution.
   
• Must be a registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower
   
• Must be a registered Fire Safety Manager with the SCDF.
   
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, of which 2-3 years must be in a managerial capacity
   
• Team player with strong leadership, interpersonal communication and analytical skills
   
• Able to work in a fast pace and stressful working environment
