The work of the Singapore Academy of Law is focused on two key areas: supporting the growth and development of the Legal Industry; and building up the intellectual capital of the legal profession by enhancing Legal Knowledge and improving the efficiency of legal practice through legal technology. As a junior editor, you will be responsible for editorial aspects of legal publications relating to copyediting of law books and journals by focusing on grammar and spelling, formatting, conformity with house style, proofreading and quality control. You need to have a strong sense of editorial deadlines.
prior editorial/publishing experience is preferred but not required as on-the-job training will be provided
a candidate with format training in the law is preferred for the position
excellent command of the written English language is imperative
be meticulous, organized and have an eagle eye for detail
able to multi-task and cope with multiple publications concurrently
be proficient at time-management and able to work under pressure, multi-task and cope with multiple publications concurrently
