Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Vice President, Marine (Underwriting), the incumbent will assist in researching and identifying accounts with business potential, securing appointments to explore viability of business opportunity with the   AVP / VP. You will also exercise decision for business within underwriting authority.
  • Grow and build existing pleasure craft portfolio; prepare quotations, attending to customers’ needs.
  • Check slips and policies to ensure documents are correctly processed and prepare monthly renewals. 
  • Ensure prompt response to our clients’ and intermediaries’ enquiries, while providing quality service.
  • To assist SVP, VP and AVP in formulating marketing strategy to achieve ROP and underwriting sustainability.
  • Establish new freight forwarders and / or cargo contacts and maintain visibility with current and new broking channels. 
  • Underwrite and accept pleasure craft business within assigned authority.

Requirements:

  • Along with a Degree, you should have at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a similar function in a local/foreign bank.
  • Knowledge of Life Insurance Business & Local Regulatory Regulations, Policies and Guidelines is advantageous.
  • You should comfortable with negotiation as the role requires significant customer-fronting.
  • Meticulous with a keen eye for details and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • You should be proactive and should have a responsive approach to responsibilities.
  • A team player who is capable of managing multiple stakeholder relationships and meeting tight deadlines.
