GR Awards team and the eventorganisers was awarded the Best Marketing Campaign accolade at The Global Recruiter Asia Pacific Awards 2016. The win was for its #icanbebetter campaign, which was designed to remind all to think about their roles and pursuits outside of their jobs.

The key objective of the campaign is to empower individuals to improve their lives through better careers. It sends out the message that a job is never just a job. The chain effect of our happiness at work affects us and those around us. We are all either parents, sons or daughters, siblings and friends to someone. #icanbebetter is a belief we hope everyone will have in themselves. It is the beginning of a change. To be better at work, to be better to ourselves, to be better to everyone else surrounding us.

The campaign was rolled out in 5 countries-namely Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, using an integrated marcom approach triggering candidates to reflect, believe, and feel enabled. It implores all to think about their personal job motivation such as family and friends, travelling and passions. It also drives home the message that a good job is not always the one with the highest salaries, but the one that allows an employee to pursue his/her lifelong dreams.

Commenting on the campaign, one of the judges said: "Great concept! Lifestyle balance resonates with the young generation. The success of the campaign shows that job candidates are yearning to "be better" but need the inspiration & enabler to follow-through. The marketing campaign provided the mechanism to making that career move a reality."
