Payroll Officer

A Payroll Officer is responsible for paying employees accurately and on time. This role involves processing timesheets, calculating wages, producing payslips and managing deductions like tax and pension contributions. Payroll Officers often work within the Human Resources department of organisations across all industries, ranging from small businesses to large corporations. It's a role that requires attention to detail and to comply with wage laws and statutory regulations. Depending on the size of the company, they may also work in a team with other Payroll Officers, or manage the entire payroll process themselves.
